As I enjoy making social network space painting project and I feel it absolutely relates to my life, so I keep doing research on this topic. I think that we cannot be in Social network space physically. But nowadays we actually live our daily lives on social network. We connect to people around the world and follow the lifestyle of interesting people from activities that they share on their social network space. This completely attracts me. However, this topic is quite abstract. So, I created an art project, simulating social network space to be a physical space, at the BACC exhibition space to make my thoughts clearer. During the exhibition, I assumed that I was a person living on simulated online space. I went there every day and did everything, excluding night’s sleep and using the bathroom, like I did at my studio. My daily routine consists of painting on canvas, getting some rest, reading a book, and using social network on the phone. I simulated my living at the exhibition space like a live video on social network space and exhibition visitors are like viewers on screen. Everyday I created a painting on canvas and hung it in the exhibition area as well as wrote text on the wall like sharing a “picture” and “status” on social network. This project helps me get my idea better from this simulation.
